What’s the point of spending your hard earned cash on a social game which only accommodates up to four players and where the rest of your mates have to sit and watch from the back of the room? No point at all, that’s what, and that’s why you can play the Party Mode with up to 20 friends in DanceStar Party.
Invite your mates round for an awesome dance party, grab two Move Controllers, select ‘Party’ from the main menu, add up to 20 different players and your party will be underway before you know it. You can even add latecomers or remove players at any time during Party Mode so the party really never stops and no one needs to feel left out.
During Party Mode, two players get to compete in any mode (Beginner, Intermediate, Professional, Dance Partners or one you made earlier with Dance Creator) which you can change every time for each new pair of dancers and song. Selection of players is random and everybody gets a go at some stage, so all you have to do is wait for your turn to show off.
What else?
After every five rounds, it’s time to gloat, be embarrassed, laugh or cry because that’s when the ‘Party So Far’ screen appears for everyone to see. Check out your rankings with high and low scores, see who did so well together that they are now the ‘Hottest Couple’ and who has shown the ‘Biggest Improvement’ in the last few rounds.
Once you’re danced out, exit the Party Mode after any round and get ready to face the screen of truth, aka the ‘Final Standings’. This is where you’ll find everyone’s pics, the overall winner (and loser!) plus who achieved the ‘Ultimate Score’ or ‘Best Win Streak’. Also watch out for the resident ‘Party Animal’, ‘Top Underdog’ and ‘Best Dance Partner’.
Last but not least, you can relive your DanceStar Party by posting snaps and videos from the night straight to Facebook and Twitter – just remember to save your highlights during play. If you don’t want to wait, you can always head to the ‘Party Wall’ and check out all your saved media from the party at any time during the game.
